The Trenton Professional Old Timers, in collaboration with the Northeast-All Stars, are proud to host this year’s Henry Bernard Memorial Tournament 2025 as part of a weekend-long Memorial Day celebration in Trenton, New Jersey. The theme for this year’s event is “Honoring the Memories of Loved Ones We Have Lost”—a heartfelt tribute to those who are no longer with us but whose legacies continue to inspire.
The festivities kicked off on Friday, May 23rd, with a spirited Welcome Party at 13 Rossell Avenue. Community members gathered in unity and anticipation, setting a warm and enthusiastic tone for the weekend ahead. With drinks available and old friends reconnecting, the evening embodied the true spirit of the Old Timers—fellowship, remembrance, and celebration.
On Saturday, May 24th, the day will begin with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony, where members of TPOT will visit the burial sites of loved ones to pay tribute and lay wreaths in their honor. This quiet act of remembrance serves as a reminder of the sacrifices and legacies that continue to shape and inspire the community.
The momentum continues with Game Day at 1600 Calhoun Street beginning at 12 noon. Attendees can look forward to a full day of soccer, kickball, basketball, and kids competitions, with food and drinks available on-site. It’s a family-friendly atmosphere with something for everyone, and all are encouraged to bring the kids out for an afternoon of fun and community engagement.
The weekend culminates on Sunday, May 25th, with a Memorial Cookout starting at 12 PM at 27 Firth Street. This final gathering serves as a time for reflection, unity, and celebration of life. Good food, good company, and good memories are guaranteed as we honor those we’ve lost and strengthen the bonds within our community.
